First launched in 2008 by Restaurant magazine, the R200 is a club made up of the UK’s leading restaurant group operators, defined by number of sites. The criteria is the same for all: they must be multiple site operators, with a strong ‘sit-down dining’ element and must be AIM-listed or independent. The R200 programme runs throughout the year over three key events – a conference and study tour of an up-and-coming UK city, a two-day European city study tour and networking event, and the R200 Awards and Christmas party.
The R200 programme focuses on those who have made a success of running a restaurant business, and is regularly attended by Founders, MDs, CEOs, Operations Directors, Marketing Directors and buyers of its member groups as well as key industry investors and commentators.
Destinations for our regional conferences and study tours have included Bristol and Manchester and our European study tours have taken operators and our partners to Amsterdam, Naples and Barcelona to name just a few. The 2017 R200 Awards and Party will be hosted at London’s street food mega-market Hawker House, to celebrate all the success in what has been a challenging year.
These events provide both partners and R200 members with extended opportunities to meet and discuss current trends, innovations and challenges, as well as celebrate the successes from across the industry.
